Sometimes called the Second Avenue Cemetery, the Marble Cemetery is a small burial ground in Manhattan's East Village. It is the oldest public non-sectarian cemetery in New York City. Most of the 2,080 interments took place between 1830 and 1870; the last was in 1937. All burials are in 156 below-ground vaults made of solid white Tuckahoe marble. Although there are no gravestones, the names of the original owners are on plaques in the surrounding walls. Their descendants may still be buried here.

It's described as a big wasteland the size of a football field surrounded by walls separating them from the buildings. Ananka found it very beautiful and couldn't believe it was actually in the middle of the city.
Usage by the Irregulars[]
Kiki Strike enters the Marble Cemetery by pretending to be a descendant of Augustus Quackenbush. When she and the other Irregulars were finally united, they used Augustus's tomb to enter the Shadow City. It was the first entrance to be discovered by the Irregulars.
